Our members are active in different areas in Switzerland. This allows an interesting and versatile exchange and offeres an enriching network.

Members of SWAN have completed at least a 3 years’ education in nutrition and have obtained an academic degree in this area (university, university of applied sciences) and operate on a scientific basis. They originated from environmental sciences, agro sciences, social sciences and cultural studies (dietologists, food engineers, food chemists, nutritional physicians, etc.).

SWAN is open for all professionals who have specialised in nutritional science (at least 60 ECTS credits or equivalent further training) apart from a completed academic training.

Students in training can participate in a “Junior Membership” which is automatically transformed to a regular membership once the studies have successfully been completed.

Regular membership: CHF 150.- per year

Students membership: CHF 50.- per year

A network to other associations and institutions in the area of nutrition is important for us, including the ones beyond Switzerland.

We are in regular exchange with various associations nationally as well as internationally. SWAN also represents a regional group (Örtliche Gruppe, ÖG) of VDOE  in Germany.

Since many areas of interests are overlapping, SWAN generally aims for coorperations with existing professional associations.
